Nanopool and individual technology developments have received awards from national and international organisations — including the Green World Awards, the Green Product Award and the SDG Award. Each award recognises the specific project submitted.
Awarded for the NP® PV coating in the category “Fuel, Energy & Power / Green Fuel & Energy”. The coating increases the energy yield of photovoltaic systems — its funnel function is particularly effective under diffuse light — and reduces cleaning and maintenance costs.
Selected from 1,500 projects across 56 countries: the jury awarded the surface functionalisation of paper and natural fibre products the top accolade “Best of New Materials”.
Awarded by the UK-based Green Organisation for an NP® barrier protection technology for plants. The submitted project addressed the protection and strengthening of plants as an approach to reducing the use of chemical crop protection.
Presented by the EU Tech Chamber in category 15, Land Ecosystems. According to the organiser, the award recognises contributions to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
The Golden Green World Award for an advanced packaging protection technology, together with the title of Green World Ambassador, awarded by the Green Organisation for the submitted project.
In its awards programme, the CFI.co jury honoured Nanopool in the category “Best Green Alternative Innovation Europe” for its developments in surface technology.
Awarded in November 2011 for the project “Liquid Glass against hospital germs”, prevailing against strong competition including projects from the Cologne Max Planck institutes.
Best Practice Award in the category “Antibacterial Nanocoating” — the award recognised Nanopool’s product innovation at the time.
Recognition in connection with a project in the British National Health Service, in which an NP® technology available at the time was applied to selected hospital surfaces and investigated.
The award recognised the adaptation of our patented technology for applications in agriculture and viticulture. The development project focused on a coating solution designed to support seeds during germination and the development of young plants. Further project objectives included protecting plants susceptible to mildew and reducing cork taint by converting TCA in wine corks.
The award recognised Nanopool’s technology for the functional enhancement of surfaces. In suitable commercial and industrial applications, it can facilitate cleaning and thereby reduce the use of aggressive cleaning agents. Depending on the surface, the type of soiling and the application conditions, hot water may be sufficient for cleaning.
The internationally focused environmental award is presented with the support of the British Government. Companies from various countries are nominated for developing market-ready products and solutions that make demonstrable contributions to reducing environmental impacts or using resources more efficiently.
