Neben dem Schutz durch Mund-Nasen-Bedeckungen spielen auch Kontaktfl\u00e4chen eine zentrale Rolle. Intensivierte Reinigungs- und Desinfektionszyklen binden jedoch zeit- und kostenaufwendig wertvolle Ressourcen, denn das st\u00e4ndig wiederholte Reinigen und Desinfizieren von Kontaktfl\u00e4chen ist eine Sisyphusarbeit wie aus dem Lehrbuch: Eine erneute Besiedlung und Ausbreitung von Keimen ist jederzeit m\u00f6glich, insbesondere w\u00e4hrend der Virensaison im Herbst und Winter.<\/p>\n<p>Eine gro\u00dfe Supermarktkette in Europa hat deshalb eine Pilotanwendung mit Schwerpunkt auf Kontaktfl\u00e4chen gestartet: Ziel ist es, die Anhaftung von Mikroorganismen auf Oberfl\u00e4chen mit einer ultrad\u00fcnnen Funktionsschicht zu reduzieren, die das deutsche Familienunternehmen Nanopool entwickelt hat.<\/p>\n<p>The coating Bacterlon<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> is designed to give surfaces repellent properties and to reduce the adhesion of dirt and germs. Bacterlon<sup>\u00ae<\/sup> does not replace prescribed cleaning, disinfection and hygiene measures.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ergebnisse der Pilotanwendung<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In a first step, test surfaces in a store of the European food retailer were coated with Bacterlon<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>. Those responsible at the retail chain had the relevant areas tested for bacteria using contact plate tests both before and after the treatment. An independent laboratory found that the detectable germ count was not only many times lower after the treatment than before, but that it had even dropped significantly again around six weeks after coating. In the contact plate tests, the detected bacterial count on the treated test surfaces was up to 99% lower.
