Termite test in India – sustainable protection with NP® nano sealant

In an independent field trial in a termite-active region near Mumbai (India), the effectiveness of NP® Liquid Glass wood coating was demonstrated clearly. Two identical wooden samples – one untreated, one coated with NP® nano sealant – were buried in soil for several weeks.

NP® wood enhancement is applied as a liquid nanocoating (Liquid Glass) to the cleaned wood surface. Depending on the application and production process, the nano sealant can be applied by spraying, dipping, rolling or wiping.

For industrial users, spraying and dipping are particularly suitable, as they provide even coverage and high processing efficiency.

After application, an ultrathin, transparent layer of Liquid Glass forms, curing within minutes and bonding firmly with the wood structure.

The process requires no complex post-treatment – a single application is generally sufficient to achieve long-lasting protection against moisture, UV exposure, dirt and biological influences.

For special requirements (e.g. heavily exposed exterior surfaces), a second application can further enhance protection.
