Ze dienen als bescherming tegen contactinfectie, bijvoorbeeld bij het duwen van een winkelwagen, bij het aanraken van handgrepen en zitplaatsen in bussen en treinen of bij contact met deurklinken en lichtschakelaars in openbare gebouwen en kantoren.<\/p>\n<p>Certainly a sensible measure, considering that COVID-19 pathogens, but also numerous other viruses and bacteria, can survive for many days under favorable conditions on surfaces such as plastic, metal or textiles. No one can safely assume comprehensive disinfection, let alone <strong>self-disinfection<\/strong>, of the surfaces we come into contact with every day.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The limits of disposable gloves<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Hier wordt echter al het eerste probleem met handschoenen zichtbaar: ze beschermen onze handen weliswaar tegen SARS-CoV-2-virussen en andere kiemen, maar niet de oppervlakken die we met deze handschoenen aanraken.
