Current, product-specific information can be found on the respective product pages. Results of individual studies relate to the investigated surfaces, product variants and conditions and do not constitute clinical evidence that infections are prevented.
This World Children’s Day gives us the opportunity to look back on a project that began at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital: toys and frequently touched surfaces were treated with Nanopool’s liquid glass coating as part of the hospital’s hygiene concept.
Pauline Bradshaw, Head of Infection Prevention at Alder Hey Hospital, has emphasised the importance of hygiene for toys and contact surfaces. She even compares it to the cleanliness of medical equipment. In collaboration with Nanopool, the hospital used the coating to make cleaning toys and contact surfaces easier.
The coating is designed to reduce the adhesion of dirt and microorganisms and to make cleaning easier; it does not replace established cleaning and disinfection measures. This can mean less time and effort for cleaning staff and more time for looking after the children.
Our special thanks today go to Alder Hey Hospital for the trust they placed in us at the start of our collaboration and for their pioneering role in the field of hygiene.
Let us celebrate children’s health today – not only on World Children’s Day, but on every day of the year.
