Glass
Glass is one of the oldest man made materials. It mainly consists of silicon dioxide (SiO 2). By adding aluminium oxide, potassium oxide, calcium oxide and other components, glass can achieve various properties, most of which are well understood,; however we at nanopool are able to create glass, with hitherto unknown characteristics Glass is an essential part of our daily life. We use drinking glasses, we cook on ceramic hobs, we sit behind glass windscreens or windows. We use glass extensively in modern architecture and glass structures are installed as constructive elements as well as design elements. The np-coatings are in principle pure, flexible, super-durable glass, albeit at the molecular level. These characteristics can protect glass surfaces and add extra functionality to the glass surface, making it :
The transparency of the glass is in no way impaired by the np-coating and importantly undesired light reflexes are not detected. CeramicsCeramics can be treated in exactly the same way as glass, for example, tiles with glazed surfaces ,baths and wash basins, architectural ceramics, and monuments. Like glass, ceramics belong to the class of materials which have been used for thousands of years, as drinking and cooking vessel, as floor and roof covering, as dental prosthesis, as heat shields of the space shuttle and in many other high-tech-applications especially where extreme temperature resistance is required. With our np-coatings we can protect and enhance all types of ceramic materials and add new functionality i.e.:
The original colour and texture of the ceramics remains unchanged. The np-coating is not visible to the naked eye. |
