Nanopool® awarded for “Die grünen Helden®” as GREEN BRAND Germany
A highlight for nanopool® GmbH at the BIOFACH 2019 fair: the globally novel water-saving product series for the household “Die grünen Helden®” were recognized as GREEN BRANDS Germany for the first time. Saskia and Sascha Schwindt received the certificate from Norbert Lux, the initiator and Managing Director of the GREEN BRANDS organization, at the world’s largest organic trade fair in Nuremberg.
GREEN BRANDS honours everyday life brands that have embedded responsible dealings with nature in their working and production methods. The award of the GREEN BRANDS quality seal is based on a globally unique, three-stage process: Nomination – via market research, mentions by NGOs, interest groups, media partners, or jury members. Validation – using scientifically prepared criteria catalogues, the status on the GREEN BRANDS Index is determined by experts. Jury Decision – final assessment of the validation evaluation and the final authority for the recognition of the award. The “GREEN BRANDS” quality seal confirms the high ecological quality standard of a brand and serves as a guide for consumers. The quality seal provides consumers with a reliable indicator of a company’s responsible working and production methods and is thus a very good guide when making choices or decisions.

This is a significant relief for nature, as all cleaning agents enter the wastewater and thus significantly disturb the natural ecosystem by damaging a large part of the wastewater bacteria that are urgently needed for biological wastewater treatment.

GREEN BRANDS is an international, independent, and autonomous brand evaluation organization that honours ecologically sustainable brands and awards the GREEN BRANDS quality seal.
The globally unique three-stage awarding process is carried out in conjunction with the international scientific sustainability institute SERI (Vienna) and highly qualified and competent jury members on a biennial basis.
In addition to Germany and Austria, GREEN BRANDS also operates in Switzerland, Hungary, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic and has awarded around 170 brands after more than 450 validations.
