Nanopool GmbH significantly expands presence in Asia
Corporate Giant Aitken Spence introduces specialised technology from Saarland /Germany in Sri Lanka
Hülzweiler/Colombo.
Thanks to a newly formed strategic partnership with one of Sri Lanka’s largest trade and energy conglomerates, Nanopool GmbH is significantly expanding its presence in Asia. The special surface coating products from Hülzweiler in Saarland/Germany will soon be widely used in various areas of life and work in Sri Lanka. This week in Sri Lanka’s capital, Colombo, an extensive cooperation was agreed with one of the market leaders in tourism, logistics, and power generation, the company Aitken Spence, and its joint venture partner EcoCorp Asia.
Nanopool Managing Director Sascha Schwindt is convinced that the collaboration opens up great opportunities for both sides. “With an annual turnover of more than a billion dollars, Aitken Spence is exactly the strong and trustworthy partner we have been looking for to establish our cutting-edge technology sustainably in Asia.” The protective system developed by Nanopool, made of liquid glass that is 500 times thinner than a human hair, can be applied to a variety of surfaces such as metal, wood, ceramic, plastic, or textiles. It keeps dirt, bacteria, rust, mould, and scratches at bay. This reduces cleaning and replacement costs, optimises production processes, and ensures hygienic conditions in places like kitchens and hospitals.
The CEOs of Aitken Spence and EcoCorp Asia are confident that this “pioneering technology” will quickly become a success story in Sri Lanka and other Asian countries: “We always try to invest in the future. After having intensively tested the products from Nanopool for months and seeing the benefits they enable in healthcare, the textile industry, and many other sectors, we are very confident that this is a reasonable investment.”
